THE Royal Brunei Police Forces (RBPF) on Tuesday conducted a joint patrol with members of various agencies.
According to a statement, the patrol saw the involvement of three members of the Focal Point Neighbourhood Watch DHQ Brunei Muara; eight officials from the Kampong Ayer Police Station – led by Officer-in-Charge of Kampong Ayer Police Station Inspector Hamdan bin Mantul; five members of the Kampong Lupak Luas/Tarab Bau Neighbourhood Watch – led by Lupak Luas/Tarab Bau Village Head Haji Suhaili bin Haji Moktar; and six Religious Enforcement Division officials – led by Haji Samry bin Haji Mohd Yaakub.
The patrol started at the residence of the Kampong Lupak Luas/Tarab Bau Village Head at Jalan Kasat and covered areas under the care of the village head.
The operation – which ran from 10.45pm into the wee hours of the next morning – was also an opportunity to raise awareness on the importance of maintaining the security of the village, ensure the areas are crime free and strengthen relations between villagers and all parties involved.
The RBPF welcomes youths to get involved in the Neighbourhood Watch and patrols in their villages.
