The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the 76th birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque and the MoFE building.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof attended the ceremony.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin followed by Doa Kesyukuran led by Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Mohammad Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran, and ended with the congregational Asar prayer.
The event was organised by the National Maritime Coordination Center (NMCC) and Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC) Secretariat in collaboration with Radio Television Brunei (RTB).
Meanwhile, MoFE yesterday hosted a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony at the ministry’s surau.
Acting Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid was present as the guest of honour.
Also present was Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani.
The ceremony began with a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Mosque Affairs Officer at the Mosque Affairs Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Mohd Adhan bin Hashim followed with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran, and concluded with mass Asar prayer.
The event was organised and hosted by the Revenue Division under the MoFE.
