Israk Mikraj celebrations in the country continued yesterday with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) holding religious ceremonies and lectures to mark Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) historic journey and ascension.
Yesterday, the PMO and its departments held its celebration at the PMO at Jalan Perdana Menteri.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah were present.
Also attending were Deputy Minister (Energy) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw and Deputy Minister (Security and Law) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu.
Meanwhile, the MoE held its celebration at the ministry building at Jalan Airport Lama.
Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh was in attendance.
Permanent secretaries; vice-chancellors, rectors, senior officers, officers and staff from the MoE were also present.
The celebrations saw recitations of Doa as well as a special religious talk following the theme of the national Israk Mikraj celebration this year, ‘Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Bertawakkal dan Berdoa Menghadapi Ujian: Sembahyang Meraih Redha Allah’.
