PMO hosts Doa Kesyukuran for His Majesty’s 73rd birthday celebration

THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and departments under it hosted a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the 73rd birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque of the PMO’s Building Complex yesterday.

The ceremony was jointly organised by the Law and Welfare Division of PMO and State Judiciary Department of PMO.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Attorney General Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Hairol Arni bin Haji Abdul Majid, Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretary at the PMO, special invited guests, heads of departments, officers and staff of PMO and departments under it were present.

The ceremony commenced with Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Mosque Affairs Officer Anuar bin Haji Salim and followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran. It continued with mass Asar prayer.

The ceremony was held to show gratitude for the leadership of His Majesty and signifies a prayer for the monarch’s good health, longevity and continued reign with inayah and guidance from Allah the Almighty.
