The National Service Programme (PKBN), under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, has been holding a roadshow at KB Sentral Shopping Centre, Belait District with its final day today.
Held from 10am-8pm, it serves to provide information on the PKBN, including the registration process and the charitable works under the programme.
PKBN Secretariat Mohd Hafizani bin Zaini, in an interview with the Sunday Bulletin, said the roadshow provides a platform for the youth to obtain information on the programme. He added that a similar event will be held at The Mall, Gadong from September 2 to 4.
Meanwhile, PKBN alumni from the eighth intake Ameer Ubaidillah bin Mohd Suzaidy spoke of youth’s role in volunteerism, especially during the pandemic.
“With the nation and the world reeling from the impact of COVID-19, there is a strong desire to help the community,” he said.
The deadline to register for the 11th intake is November 12, while the training will commence on November 27.
