Italian tyremaker Pirelli won two out of five awards from the Asia’s Ultimate Tyres Awards (AUTA) 2022 organised by EVO Singapore in September.

Pirelli won the Editor’s Choice Award for the Pirelli Zero (PZ4) and the Eco Tyre of the Year Award for the Pirelli Cinturato P7/P7C2 in both the sport and touring segments.

The PZ4 performed consistently well across all categories, and won the wet grip test. The tyres were commended for its spirited drive and perfect fit with the tropical climate.

Its performance clocked in 69.88s lap time in the handling circuit, 0.791 Gs in the Dry Grip Skidpan and 0.758Gs in the Wet Grip Skidpan.

The Cinturato P7 dominated in rolling resistance, recording the longest distance of any tyre at AUTA 2022.

It was also top in category for dry braking, and performed exceptionally in the wet braking and grip tests, where its performances saw a 100.2m in least rolling resistance, 20.13m dry braking and 0.711Gs in wet grip skidpan.

Pirelli tyres are available at any Tyremart branches throughout the Sultanate.
