The Magistrate’s Court sentenced a local man to two months’ jail, after he pleaded guilty to trespassing with the intent to annoy the occupants of a residence.

Magistrate Pengiran Hazirah binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Yusof heard from Deputy Public Prosecutor Hajah Siti Mu’izzah binti Haji Sabli that Haliandy bin Halawi, 39, was driving his car around STKRJ Kampong Rimba when it broke down at 8.15pm on January 3.

He then walked around and entered the compound of a nearby house. He saw a table under a window, climbed onto it to peer inside and started performing an indecent act.

A house occupant who went outside to check the noises found the defendant near the bedroom window of a female member of the household.

The defendant tried to escape, but the occupant managed to detain him.

The police who were called took the defendant to custody.
