Performances highlight His Majesty’s leadership, wisdom

Some 375 students from Rataie Primary School and Sultan Hassan Bangar Secondary School participated in colourful field performance named Raja Kesayangan Rakyat during the get-together ceremony in Temburong District held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 75th birthday celebration yesterday.

The performances in three segments – Temburong Bisai, Joget Laila Bahagia and Indah Permata Hijau – highlighted His Majesty’s leadership in leading the nation and people towards Brunei Vision 2035.

The monarch’s wisdom and vision help lead the way in national development and making Brunei a Zikir Nation being implemented with courage and full commitment. With Islamic leadership based on Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama’ah teachings and Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) national philosophy, the nation’s success in various aspects were evident. His Majesty is much loved and respected by the people and his generosity, fairness and care for the people are well-known.

This year’s event themed Taman Permata Hijau displayed the peacefulness and beauty of Temburong District. The district benefitted from His Majesty’s leadership that placed emphasis on its development.

The district dubbed ‘Green Jewel of Brunei Darussalam’, its rich in flora and fauna and an important asset in the country’s tourism draw. The completion of the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge linking Temburong and Brunei-Muara districts is a landmark of the country’s progress and an engineering achievement.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam signed a plaque at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) booth and received a book titled Jambatan Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien: Menyatukan Brunei dan Rakyat published by the Information Department under the PMO in collaboration with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam.
