Counsellor at the Japanese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Kakuta Hiromi presented a gift basket to Deputy Medical Superintendent of RIPAS Hospital Pengiran Dr Bahrin bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin.

She said, “We would like to convey our appreciation to the frontliners for their hard work.

“Despite the COVID-19 outbreak being under control in the country, the frontliners are still working daily and facing the risk of infection.

“Recently, there have been several imported cases and there are global concerns on the new COVID-19 variant.”

She added, “ The Japanese Ambassador was also at the Sports Complex to get his swab test after returning from Japan.

“So we would like to convey our gratitude and appreciation to the frontliners.”
