VARIOUS crime prevention patrols were conducted as part of a continuous effort to maintain the safety of residents recently.
Over nine members from the Kampong Telisai Neighbourhood Watch together with five police members from Tutong Police Station, led by W/Cpl 4899 Noraziah, with the Village Head of Kampong Telisai Haji Maidin bin Haji Lahid representing the Kampong Telisai Neighbourhood Watch conducted a crime prevention patrol at the vicinity of Kampong Telisai, which included the areas of Telamba, STKRJ Kampong Telisai and Kampong Sungai Paku.
A similar crime prevention patrol was also conducted by seven police members from the Berakas Police Station, led by Sergeant Major (SM) 3501 Mahali; who was accompanied by Head of Kampong Pancha Delima, Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Ya’akub, and five members from the Kampong Pancha Delima Neighbourhood Watch.
The patrol saw them making the rounds on foot, around the surrounding areas of Kampong Pancha Delima, Kampong Anggerek Desa, Kampong Pulaie, and Kampong Orang Kaya Besar Imas. No suspicious activities were found during the patrol.
In the Belait District, two members of Sungai Teraban Neighbourhood Watch conducted a crime prevention patrol with three police officers from the Kuala Belait Police Station; which yielded a similar result and saw no suspicious activities.
The patrols are a continuous effort to help maintain the safety of the residents, and aim to encourage them to cooperate with the authorities to report any suspicious activities.
