Pakistan’s Chief of Naval Staff arrives in Brunei

Chief of the Naval Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi arrived in the Sultanate for a three-day official visit last Sunday.

He was received by Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy Captain Pengiran Mohamad bin Pengiran Haji Damit along with his spouse, Brunei Government officials, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam Major General (Rtd) Abdul Aziz Tariq and the Pakistani High Commission staff.

The high commissioner highlighted several facets of strong existing bilateral relations between the two countries.

He said the visit is indicative of the warmth and importance of existing bilateral relations and hoped that the visit will help lay the strong foundation to further strengthen bilateral ties, especially in the field of defence.
