Seventy-seven new Neighbourhood Watch members received their appointment letters and certificates of appreciation from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) at the Police Training Centre in Gadong on Sunday.
Acting Commanding Officer of Brunei-Muara Police District Supertintendant of Police Pengiran Muhaimin bin Pengiran Haji Mustapha presented the appointment letters and certificates.
The event also saw a briefing by the Neighbourhood Watch community, Criminal Investigation Department, and the Immigration and National Registration Department.
Legislative Council member and Penghulu of Mukim Kota Batu Yang Berhormat Naim bin Haji Kamis was also present.
According to a press release, the community’s role is integral in ensuring that the country remains peaceful and harmonious and the collaboration under the programme helps to achieve it.
