OVER 60 vehicles were inspected by the Sungai Liang Police Station which conducted a crime prevention operation at various key locations in Sungai Liang.
The junction leading to the surrounding areas of the RPN Kampong Lumut was also included in the operation conducted on Friday night.
No Road Traffic Act violations were reported from the crackdown, which was carried out until the early hours of Saturday..
The operation was held as part of the Royal Brunei Police Force’s (RBPF) efforts to ensure safety in villages and residential areas.
A total of 24 police officers from the Sungai Liang Police Station, three officers from the Quick Response Squad (STS) of the Belait Police District headquarters and nine members of the Neighbourhood Watch from the patrol area participated in the operation dubbed Operasi Cegah 1 (Prevention Operation 1).
The operation was led by Officer-in-Charge of Sungai Liang Police Station, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Muhammad Amerol bin Haji Metusin.
