Over 40 join information programme

The Informed Society Programme is aimed at increasing knowledge, strengthening development and improving living standards through briefings and visits to support the nation’s aspirations.

This was said by Head of the Information Department branch in Belait District Hajah Liyana binti Haji Suhaimi during the launch of the programme with over 40 female congregants of Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait.

Senior Information Officer Hajah Hamsah binti Datu Kerna Haji Jaya was the guest of honour at the ceremony that also saw the attendance of religious teacher and guidance counsellor Norfazillah binti Haji Sapar.

The programme began with a briefing on Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) by its manager and team leader for government and business support Dayangku Hajah Siti Normadinah binti Pengiran Haji Omarali.

It continued with a briefing on halal food by religious officer Hazimah binti Haji Aji. The morning briefings ended with a presentation by Field Information Officer Zurairah binti Haji Lisa.

The programme concluded with a visit to three places – Information Department; the Sufri Bolkiah Mosque in Berakas; and the Small Business Food Incubator at the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood.
