Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar led a cleaning campaign that collected 302.6 kilogrammes of trash from STKRJ Lorong Tiga Selatan Seria.
Held yesterday in conjunction with the ‘Day of Action’, an initiative celebrating International Volunteer Day, the campaign saw over 100 participants, comprising officers and staff from the Ministry of Health, Mukim and Village Consultative Council (MPMK) members and residents from Belait District, helping clean the village streets.
Following the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by STKRJ Lorong Tiga Selatan Seria Mosque imam Shahirwandy bin Samsudin, the campaign saw the minister and participants join a brief aerobic session in preparation for the cleaning campaign.
The participants were split into groups to collect trash. At the end of the campaign, the trash was weighed and disposed. – Daniel Lim
