More than 1,500 Indonesians filled the courtyard of the Indonesian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam to perform the Eid prayer on Saturday, celebrating the first day of the month of Syawal. Unlike the previous year, there were no health-related restrictions in place.
Following the Eid prayer and a gathering with Indonesian communities, Chargé d’Affaires Ad Interim of the Indonesian Embassy Irwan Iding delivered a message to Indonesians in Brunei, encouraging them to continue to comply with the law and maintain unity and integrity.
He encouraged all Indonesian citizens to keep a healthy lifestyle.
“The coronavirus outbreak is not completely over, and we must all remain vigilant and adhere to health protocols wherever we go,” he added.
