Over 100 turn up for International Day of Yoga

A total of 150 yoga enthusiasts gathered at the Indian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam’s official residence to celebrate the 8th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2022 yesterday.

Themed ‘Yoga for Humanity’, youth members, friends of India, local and Indian community and members of the Diplomatic Corps attended the event.

Yoga Guru Shri Bramhanand Tichkule led the yoga session.

International Day of Yoga observation is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global commitment to universal health to humanity with the practice of yoga.

The event was live-streamed on the mission’s social media platforms to facilitate participation virtually and for wider dissemination.

Visitors also took part in a walk-through exhibition showcasing India’s tourism, travel and technology.
