    Over 100 mark Int Yoga Day

    The yoga and art of living sections of Panaga Club yesterday joined forces to mark International Yoga Day at the club’s multipurpose hall in Belait District.

    The event draw in over 100 participants, including High Commissioner of India to Brunei Darussalam Ajaneesh Kumar, who was welcomed on arrival by Panaga Club’s yoga section chair Ramana Rao and other committee members.

    The envoy took the opportunity to explain to the attendees that the aim of International Yoga Day is to celebrate health benefits of yoga every June 21.

    He also highlighted the relevance of yoga amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as it brings respiratory relief to those infected with the coronavirus, while expressing hopes to see more people incorporating yoga into their everyday life.

    Yoga instructor Ravishankar Yadav from Panaga Club was on hand to guide the attendees to proper techniques.

    With the success of yesterday’s event, the club hoped to organise more events of similar nature in the future to strengthen its ties with the community.
