The outpatient services in health centres are operating as usual with the exception of the Berakas Health Centre and the Pengkalan Batu Health Centre which have been designated as flu clinics since March.
This was stated by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during a press conference yesterday. “However, hospitals are not yet fully operational since there are cases that need close monitoring. Insya Allah, in the near future and in the next phase, health clinics will resume operations as usual,” said the minister.
The minister added that the Suri Seri Begawan (SSB) Hospital in Kuala Belait is operating 24 hours and increased its manpower to provide further assistance whenever needed. “We have added another flu centre at the Seria Health Centre which is currently operating during office hours. These two flu centres are hoped to be able to manage people in the Belait District. It is advised for the public who have symptoms or those who are worried and need checkups, to get swab tests at these two centres,” said the minister.
