The Labour Department’s Law Enforcement Division conducted an operation targeting Kampong Masin. Four offences under the Employment Order, 2009 were uncovered.
They are failure to provide service contract; unauthorised deduction of salary; not providing annual leave; and violating foreign workers licence.
A separate operation in Kampong Kianggeh discovered three offences – not granting leave on public holidays; not providing off days; and violation of foreign workers licence. – Azlan Othman
