I would like to respond to a letter on ‘Ban all online games, save the future’, published in the Opinion page on March 3.
I’m not sure why the issue with online gaming is only brought up now when it has been around for a long time. Why did the public not address it when it was still in its infancy? Maybe the reason has to do with the fact that it has always been a way to relieve stress, especially among adults who know how to limit game time.
I don’t foresee the authorities placing a ban on gaming, given that it is already deeply embedded in our society. Adult games treat online gaming as a form of escape from the hustle and bustle. Banning it altogether would generate more problems in the long run.
