    One discharged from NIC, seven remain

    Seven patients remain at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong District, following the discharge of an individual yesterday.

    The Sultanate recorded another day without new COVID-19 cases as of yesterday, keeping the national tally at 250. Additionally, no local transmission have been reported for 406 days.

    According to the Ministry of Health (MoH), 639 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after returning from abroad, while 20,035 individuals having completed their stint.

    Over the past 24 hours, 407 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of tests carried out since January 2021 to 135,628.

    In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there has been 214 cases in Brunei-Muara District, 30 in Belait District and six in Tutong District.

    As of June 15, 64,332 people in the country had been inoculated under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme which commenced on April 3.

    A total of 52,689 have received their first dose, and 11,643 their second.

    The Brunei-Muara District has the highest number of vaccinations (43,311), followed by Belait District (8,528), Tutong District (8,423) and Temburong District (4,070).
