One case remains in Category 5

One COVID-19 patient remains in Category 5 and is receiving treatment at the intensive care unit, the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced in its daily statement yesterday.

Two Category 4 cases are receiving respiratory assistance and being closely monitored.

No COVID-19 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 1,285 recoveries were recorded, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 202,531.

The COVID-19 vaccination coverage rate for citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who have received the third dose stands at 74.9 per cent, while 6.9 per cent of the populace had been administered the fourth dose.

Additionally, 79.9 per cent of children aged five to 11 have received the second dose, while 53.3 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.

Meanwhile, the vaccination centre at the Berakas Health Centre will be temporarily closed on July 30, in conjunction with the Islamic new year of 1444 Hjirah celebration. The centre will resume operations on July 31, from 2pm to 8pm.
