Officers confiscate 22.75kg of lamb, processed meat

Eighteen packets of marinated lamb and processed meat of various brands weighing 22.75 kilogrammes were confiscated in an integrated operation by enforcement officers from the Halal Food Control Division, Syariah Affairs Department, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) in Kampong Padnunok, Tutong District recently.

The case has been handed over to the RCED for investigation and legal action.

The MoRA reminded the public that those wishing to bring raw halal meat into the Sultanate must obtain a Halal Import Permit from the Chairman of the Board for Issuing Halal Import Permits, in addition to meeting the requirements by agencies relating to the importation of
halal meat.
