Fifty Suzuki Jimny owners participated in ‘Jimny: Zero to 100’ organised by Boustead Sdn Bhd in collaboration with AutoMagination in Lambak Industrial Area yesterday.
Participants experienced firsthand both theoretical and practical training adventure through obstacle circuit and test drives aimed to expose safety features of the vehicle.
A participant, Pengiran Yusra bin Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin, in an interview with the Bulletin said the programme helped to increase his knowledge on the vehicle’s added features that aim to increase protection.
He said changing the suspension and adding the front bull bar on his Jimny proved advantageous during the obstacle.
He expressed satisfaction with the grip the Jimny provides, especially when manoeuvring during off-road journey such as the beach.
He hoped the event will be extended to include a family activity as means to attract 4×4 enthusiasts from neighbouring countries.
Jimny owners participated in an obstacle circuit, created to replicate real-life off-road situations such as overcoming muddy pits, manoeuvring through dense woods, conquering massive rocks to showcase the Jimny’s ability to go through these obstacles easily.
Jimny’s flexibility and rigidity were showcased when passed through wooden and slanted ramps while highlighting some of its best features such as its impressive departure and approach angle as well as to suspension.
The programme continued with the presentation of exclusive Jimny merchandise and electronic gifts, as well as certificates of participation by Boustead Sdn Bhd Senior Operation Manager Tan Teck Hock.
The event also saw an exhibition on Jimny accessories, including ARB air locker, ECU BoosterBull-Bar, roof rack and the unique Kakadu.
AutoMagination is a one-stop performance centre providing variety of car accessories, tyres and a newly-launched Boustead Workshop, which gives an alternative location for Suzuki customers to service their car apart from the Suzuki Service Centre in Beribi.
