As a result of monitoring by the Ministry of Health (MoH), there has been an increase in the number of children admitted to the hospital with fever and flu infection, while some also suffer from diarrhoea.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar shared this during a press conference yesterday.
In light of the situation, the minister urged the public, especially parents and guardians, to ensure that their children eat properly-cooked food and drink clean water.
In addition, parents and guardians are reminded to ensure that children eat and drink enough water and practise good hygiene, such as frequent hand washing and not sharing utensils.
If worried about the condition of their children, “immediately take your children to see a doctor”, the minister urged.
