No new COVID cases detected

Brunei Darussalam yesterday recorded no new COVID-19 cases, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 321.

Forty-nine active cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre are in a stable condition, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said yesterday.

Brunei has not recorded any local transmissions for 445 days.

Meanwhile, some 723 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad, while 22,361 have completed their stint since March 2020.

The MoH has obtained 382 samples for the SARS-CoV-2 virus testing in the past 24 hours and carried out 150,435 tests since January 2020.

In its breakdown, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there have been 286 cases in Brunei-Muara District, 29 in Belait District and six in Tutong District.

On the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, 3,489 individuals had been vaccinated as of July 24.

Since the commencement of the programme in April, 20,674 senior citizens have been administered with the first dose of the vaccine.
