No new COVID cases detected

Brunei Darussalam did not record any new COVID-19 cases yesterday, keeping the total number of confirmed cases at 250.

Eight active cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong District are in stable condition, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a statement yesterday.

The country has not recorded any local transmissions for 404 days.

A total of 644 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres, comprising individuals who have arrived from abroad. At present, 20,004 individuals have completed their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres.

In the past 24 hours, 281 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of tests carried out since January 2021 to 134,906.

In its breakdown, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there have been 214 cases in Brunei-Muara District, 30 in Belait District and six in Tutong District.
