No new COVID-19 cases reported in Brunei

Brunei Darussalam recorded no new COVID-19 cases yesterday, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 221. There have been no local COVID-19 transmissions for 344 days.

One COVID-19 patient recovered yesterday, leaving 11 active cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong District. They are in stable condition.

The Ministry of Health shared the latest development of the country’s COVID-19 situation in its daily statement yesterday.

Five hundred and thirty-two individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving in the country from travelling abroad while 16,732 individuals have completed their stint since March 2020.

In the past 24 hours, 122 samples have been obtained for SARS-CoV-2 testing bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 117,619.

Healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there have been 186 cases in Brunei-Muara District, 29 in Belait District and six in Tutong District.

For the ongoing National covid-19 Vaccination Programme, 6,701 individuals have been vaccinated since April 3. The breakdown of the vaccination show 5,071 individuals have been vaccinated in Brunei-Muara District, 681 in Belait District, 612 in Tutong District and 337 in Temburong District.
