No new COVID-19 cases for three consecutive days

Brunei Darussalam continued its streak of no new COVID-19 cases for the third consecutive day yesterday, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 142, including one active case at the National Isolation Centre.

Meanwhile, 293 samples have been taken for testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours, bringing total tests carried out since January to 43,983, said the Ministry of Health (MoH) in its daily statement yesterday.

The ministry said 570 individuals are currently undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad, while 4,018 have completed the mandatory self-isolation since March.

The breakdown of COVID-19 cases showed there have been 111 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
