No new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Brunei Darussalam yesterday as the country continued its streak for 12 consecutive days, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 145, with one active case receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has taken 324 samples for the SARS-CoV-2 virus testing in the past 24 hours, and has conducted 55,087 tests for the SARS-CoV-2 virus since January 2020.

The latest information of the COVID-19 situation was shared by the MoH in a daily release yesterday.

A total of 391 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad, while 5,591 have completed their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres since March.

The MoH informed the public that individuals who would like to take the SARS-CoV-2 swab test, especially for travelling abroad, must take the swab test three to five days before their flight date, subject to terms and conditions of the country to which it is intended. The results of the swab test will take time and the MoH seeks the public’s patience while waiting for their test results.

Swab tests for overseas travel can be conducted at the Berakas Health Centre and the Sports Complex of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.

At the Berakas Health Centre, the swab tests for SARS-CoV-2 are available at 8am-noon and 2-4pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, Sunday and public holidays, the tests are only available from 2-5.30pm.

The SARS-CoV-2 swab tests at the Sports Complex of the RIPAS Hospital are available at 7am-10pm daily, except public holidays.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, revealed that there have been 112 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 27 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
