THE National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) through the Grassroots Development Unit of the Technical Development Department outlined their plans to organise grassroots football activities throughout this year.
These activities include the ongoing development of grassroots coaches in their efforts to support and provide encouragement to children, especially players aged 12 years and below, to practice healthy lifestyle through football.
According to a press release issued by NFABD, plans have been put in place to organise a Football Festival in all districts for players under eight year olds and under 10 year olds.
The objectives of these festivals, amongst others are to promote and cultivate interest in football in the young players as well as encourage players to be enrolled in local clubs, academies or school football teams who will be participating in the NFABD Grassroots Football Development activities.
Meanwhile for players aged 11 and 12 years, a different structure has been put in place with the NFABD Grassroots 4×4 Game Festival and also the Under-12 District League.
Players who are born between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2008 are recommended to join the festival through clubs, football academies and schools teams in the Sultanate.
