Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) in-collaboration with the Kampong Jerudong Village Consultative Council (MPK) installed a rainwater harvesting tank to provide clean water at the Kinapahan Muslim Cemetery, Jerudong yesterday.

BGC Managing Director Pengiran Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha handed over the rainwater harvesting tank to Kampong Jerudong Acting Village Head Haji Kharul Azmi bin Haji Lakat.

Due to the cemetery being on the top of a hill, conventional water source is not available and community members had to carry bottles of water. The new installation will provide ease and improve visitors’ safety.

The project was part of BGC’s social investment initiative.

A cleaning campaign was also carried out by BGC volunteers and Kampong Jerudong community.
