    New training centre launched

    Brunei Gas Carrier Sdn Bhd officially launched its new Bridge Simulator Training Centre (BSTC) during its 3rd Maritime Talent Pipeline Achievements Ceremony at its headquarters in Jerudong yesterday.

    Minister at The Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and Minister of Transport and Infocommunications and Chairman of the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) Board of Directors Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof officiated.

    Developed over 20 years ago, the K-Sim Polaris simulator platform is recognised as one of the most advanced maritime bridge simulators available today.

    The Kongsberg Maritime Polaris Bridge Simulator enables flexible training in ship handling, manoeuvring and navigation, based on cutting-edge visuals and realistic hydrodynamic modelling. Polaris may be delivered as a full-mission, 360 degree, motion platform based integrated simulator, a part task simulator (ECDIS, radar etc), a PC based desktop simulator or as any combination of these.
