Some 25 participants joined the Greening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme yesterday.
The event was organised by Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (SEAMEO Voctech) in collaboration with the Education University of Hong Kong.
The five-day training aims to enhance TVET educators’ skills in integrating green practices into their curricula, with a focus on fostering a greener economy and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The programme also addresses the need for sustainable approaches in various industries and prepares educators to incorporate these practices into their teaching and planning.
The programme was inaugurated by Institute of Brunei Technical Education Chief Executive Officer and Director of Technical Education Dr Haji Mohd Zamri bin Haji Sabli. SEAMEO VOCTECH Regional Centre Director Haji Norjemee bin Jenek, Education University of Hong Kong Associate Professor Dr Margarita Pavlova and SEAMEO VOCTECH TVET specialists Dr Paryono and Dr Jaya Priah were also present. – Rokiah Mahmud
