Mozzat Enterprise Sdn Bhd’s (MESB) newly opened facilities encourage the local workforce to build and develop their careers as well as create job opportunities.

This was said by MESB Chief Executive Officer Emily Voon during the opening ceremony of their new office at its premises in the Pekan Belait Industrial Park, Kampong Sungai Duhon yesterday.

“Our new facility will be able to accommodate current and future work for various NDT (non-destructive testing). In the past few years, we have been working towards a facility such as this. We have a safe radiological isotope storage pit, a training facility and office space for 150 workstations, allowing us to scale up manpower to handle our clients’ requirements,” she said.

Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) OAI Contract Owner Mohd Yusra bin Mohd Yakub officiated the opening. He toured the facilities and booths showcasing NDT techniques, associated equipment, and how they help meet the safety guidelines and standards.

Mohd Yusra congratulated Mozzat, citing how their continuous effort has ensured the safety of all onshore and offshore workers.

“While it can be quite challenging to get to where Mozzat is today, especially with what has been occurring in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic, the efforts made (by Mozzat) has helped provide a platform to market Brunei as a nation with a workforce that can meet the international demands and safety guidelines.” MESB General Manager Richard Liew also thanked officers and staff members for their contributions.

Several staff members were also awarded for their long service, as well as marking their 3.5 million man-hour without lost time injury (LTI). A lucky draw event was also held during the event.

MEBS Managing Director Awangku Zaini bin Pengiran Haji Othman, officers and staff members, and guests were present.
