New clusters weighing down fight to flatten the curve

Many of the new individual clusters were traced to private residences, indicating that these people or their family members have been venturing outdoors, thus further slowing down the Ministry of Health (MoH)’s attempts to flatten the curve.

This was voiced by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, regarding the emergence of several new individual clusters over the past few days.

“While the spike on yesterday’s graph suggests a decrease, the slope is still horizontal and will not go down for the next two to three weeks,” he said.

He added, “We have always emphasised that people should stay at home and only go out when necessary. Some people are even holding barbecues, and this is not the time for that yet.”
