A new branch of Taurean Bakeshop & Cafe officially opened at Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) yesterday.
Taurean Bakeshop & Cafe’s newest bakeshop outlet is located at PJSC’s main lobby, offering a mix of the practical and sensible, such as the classic white loaf and whole meal breads as well as foreign favourites, including western-styled country bread.
Their most unique creation are the four types of fruit and vegetable bread such as sweet potato, spinach, tomato, and pumpkin which are made without sugar added. All their products do not contain any preservatives or artificial colourings.
The opening of the bakeshop was initiated through PJSC Management’s commitment to have commercial spaces in the building occupied by local small and medium enterprises (SMEs), businesses and individuals as one of its ongoing efforts to support the nation’s locally owned business initiative programme.
The opening ceremony of the bakeshop was officiated by Executive Director of PJSC Centre Dr Haji Mazrul Adimin bin Haji Awang Besar, Taurean Bakeshop & Cafe Manager Tsang Poh Yee, Medical Director of PJSC Dr Meera Sahib Kabeer and Chief Operating Officer of PJSC Zauyah binti Mohd Tarmizi with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Also present were Director of The Brunei Cancer Centre Dato Seri Laila Jasa Dr Babu Sukumaran, Head of Early Detection and Cancer Prevention Services Datin Dr Hajah Noraslinah binti Haji Ramlee, Senior Manager of Enterprise Growth (Business Advisory and Services) from DARe (Darussalam Enterprise) Nurul Ain Jaafar, as well as senior management of PJSC and Jerudong Park Medical Centre and staff.
The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by Dr Haji Mazrul Adimin followed by a short tour of the bakeshop led by the manager.
In his speech, Dr Mazrul Adimin highlighted that while providing high-quality medical services is the number one aim of PJSC, the centre also strives to continuously improve hospital amenities for patients, guests and staff.
