New BAMLS executive council elected

Dr Hajah Surita binti Haji Mohamad Taib was elected the new president of the Brunei Darussalam Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (BAMLS) with Dr Zainun binti Zaini as the new vice president.

The 10th biennial general meeting at Mahkota Hall of the Times Hotel, Times Square Shopping Centre was held for the election of new executive council members for 2023-2025.

Former BAMLS president Dr Haji Osmali bin Haji Osman attended the election. BAMLS council members and members from the Department of Laboratory Services, Ministry of Health, Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Universiti Brunei Darussalam also attended.

BAMLS was established in June 1998, and now has 255 registered members.

The association strives to deliver with uncompromising quality to encourage and promote medical laboratory science practices in Brunei Darussalam, to maintain a high standard of professional ethics and to facilitate and foster cooperation and unity among medical personnel.
