Networking crucial beyond higher education

Azlan Othman

Networking is important when graduates enter the working world by giving them an edge over others to excel in the working environment.

This was said by Laksamana College of Business (LCB) Director Haji Awang Suhaimei bin Haji Awang Besar at a ceremony to recognise the achievements of 36 graduates with First Class Honours degrees and Masters with Distinction from the University of Chester Degree and Masters programme, class of 2021 and 2022.

The event commemorated the 17 First Class Honours’ achievers from 2021 and 19 from this year.

The 36 graduates were invited to a reward presentation with Haji Suhaimei; Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Principal Sivarajah Subramaniam; Director of Academic Studies and Operations Bogusia Mischke; and Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer Gloria A Antiwiwaa.

Haji Awang Suhaimei and Sivarajah Subramaniam congratulated the students and wished them the best in their future endeavours.

He also suggested to those who have not begun their professional careers to consider continuing their higher education and upskill themselves by taking up a postgraduate programme at LCB.

Haji Awang Suhaimei handed out incentive letters to each graduate along with their financial reward.

Siti Nur Izyan Naqilah binti Mohd Haslin, who achieved First Class Honours in her BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance degree in 2021, also achieved a Distinction for her Master’s degree in International Finance Management in 2022.
