Nationwide nightly Tedarus Al-Quran ceremonies at mosques, suraus and religious halls throughout the holy month of Ramadhan began on Monday night for 1445 Hijrah.
The nightly ceremonies are to glorify mosques, suraus and religious halls and get closer to Al-Quran and seek blessings and forgiveness from Allah the Almighty.
The ceremonies also serve to enliven the holy month.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman was present at the ceremony at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Ra’es of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the MoRA Haji Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh. – Azlan Othman
