National flag handed over for 3rd Asian Para Games

A NATIONAL flag handover ceremony to the Brunei contingent participating in the 3rd Asian Para Games to be held in Indonesia from October 6-13 was held at the Green Room of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas yesterday.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin handed over the national flag to the contingent’s Chef de Mission Haji Rosmadee bin Haji Md Daud.

Also present were Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Brunei Darussalam Dr Arko Hananto Budiadi, members of the selection and evaluation committee, senior officers of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and guests.

Leaving on Tuesday, the Bruneian contingent comprises 16 members including eight athletes and eight officers including the Chef de Mission, Head of Secretariat, medical officer, coach and assistant coach.

The contingent will compete in two categories – athletics and 10-pin bowling.
