Myanmar military extends non-operation against armed groups for another month

YANGON (XINHUA) – The Myanmar military announced on Thursday an extension of the suspension period of its operation against armed groups to the end of January.

The Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services issued a statement, saying that the suspension of military activities, which expired on Thursday, will be further extended to January 31.

The statement said that the extension aims to carry out effective prevention, control and treatment measures against COVID-19 and to implement eternal peace successfully.
