Muslim converts join religious programme

A programme dubbed ‘Khairat Ta’lim Mualaf’ with Muslim converts was held at Kampong Batu Apoi Mosque in the Temburong District on Friday.

Over 40 new Muslim converts and officers from the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) joined the programme.

Themed, ‘Refining prayers according to Mazhab Syafie’, it was an activity under the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) religious programme. The programme commenced after Maghrib prayer with a tazkirah by KUPU SB Student Affairs Dean Dr Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk.

It was followed by a praying practical facilitated by 30 KUPU SB students.

The four-day programme aimed to shape KUPU SB students into visionary leaders by learning and applying leadership skills according to the teachings of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama’ah and the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) philosophy.
