THE Magistrate’s Court yesterday remitted a multiple house break-in case to the Intermediate Court.
Pending remittal, bail was also addressed by Intermediate Court Judge Pengiran Masni binti Pengiran Haji Bahar.
Awangku Muhammad Nazri bin Pengiran Mohd Jasni, 29, was charged with 13 counts of housebreaking by night, with Nelson Mancha anak Po, 25, facing four counts, Mohammad Nazmenizam bin Abdullah, 21, facing two counts, and Amirizal bin Mohammad, 33, facing one count of the same charge.
Pending remittal to the Intermediate Court, Deputy Public Prosecutor Sabrina binti Haji Mahmud informed the court that the prosecution is objecting for Awangku Muhammad Nazri to be released on court bail as there is a risk of him interfering with prosecution witnesses.
The prosecution also submitted that there is a high likelihood that the defendant will commit other offences if released on bail.
The court set bail for Nelson Mancha, Mohammad Nazmenizam and Amirizal at BND5,000 or two local sureties.
The court attached strict conditions to the defendants’ bail, which were applied by the prosecution.
