Muddy car parks hazardous to mosque congregants

I was heading to my car after yesterday’s Friday prayer when I saw a man in his 40’s slip and fall into a drain nearby.

Fortunately, a few fellow congregants saw it happen and rushed to help him out of the ditch.

However, he did sustain a minor injury to his head with blood gushing out of the cut.

Due to the current rainy season, perhaps the authorities should ensure the mosque surroundings are accident-proof by redirecting some of the fund to sprucing up the compounds and clearing car parks of mud and puddles.

At present, a lot of car parks are very slippery to walk on, especially factoring in the fact that most of us still hold on to the age-old advice of only wearing cheap slippers to mosques for the fear of having our footwear stolen.
