Fadhil Yunus

MS ABDB ended the opening week of the Brunei Futsal League 2023 at the top of the table following an emphatic 5-1 victory over BIBD SRC at the UBD Sports Complex in Jalan Tungku Link recently.

The result marked consecutive victories in a space of a week after opening their campaign with a 2-0 win over Shah United FC.

The bank institution kept the designated hosts at bay until Muhammad Abdul Zulfadli bin Abdullah opened the floodgates three minutes after the break.

Muhamad Zairul Hazmin bin Muhamad doubled his side’s lead two minutes before the half an hour mark before Muhammad Khairul Saifuddin bin Haji Zulkifli netted a brace in the 31st and 33rd minute.

BIBD SRC starlet Pengiran Anaqi Sufi bin Pengiran Haji Omar Baki scored a consolation in the 35th minute, but Abdul Malik bin Yunos capped the rout with a minute before time.

Meanwhile in an earlier kick-off, Kota Ranger enjoyed a winning start to their campaign after sweeping aside Street United 4-0.

Pengiran Muhammad Khairul Huda bin Pengiran Osman scored from the spot in the opening minute before Abu Suffian bin Haji Adanan made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute.

Md Amirul Syami Adillah bin Md Helmi joined in the act in the 24th minute before Md Habibullah bin Haji Adanan compounded Street United woes in the 39th minute.

Kota Ranger moved up to third in the table via goal difference, behind Almerez FC who hammered Qahar FT 8-0 last Friday.
