MoU to foster collaboration in research

A MEMORANDUM of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) was held at the SUTD Campus in Singapore recently.

UBD Vice-Chancellor Datin Dr Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz signed on behalf of UBD while President of SUTD Professor Chong Tow Chong signed on behalf of SUTD.

UBD Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research) Dr Abby Tan Chee Hong and SUTD’s Associate Provost and Undergraduate Studies and SUTD Academy Professor Pey Kin Leong were witness signatories.

The MoU formalises the start of collaboration between UBD and SUTD in the exchange of students, faculty members as well as collaboration in lifelong learning and continuous education through UBD’s Centre for Lifelong Learning and SUTD Academy.

It also sought to provide a platform for collaboration in prominent research areas such as data analytics and biodiversity.
