Motorcyclist killed in Temburong accident

A 60-year-old local motorcyclist was killed in an accident at the Jalan Labu, Kampong Perdayan, Temburong District yesterday.

A distress call was received at 11.16am and Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel from Bangar Police Station were dispatched to the scene to investigate the accident.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam (PIHM) Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The man succumbed to serious injuries to his head and body sustained during the accident.

The victim was believed to be on the way from Bangar to Labu when the accident occured.

He was at Jalan Labu, close to a vegetable stall when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old local woman.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
