THE Veteran Motorcycle Club (VMC) recently organised a Patriotic Ride convoy in conjunction with the 34th National Day Celebration.

Eighteen motorcycles including those from other clubs, Kinsmen MG, BebasMerdeka Bikers (BMB) and a representative from NThree Riders joined the convoy.

The 300km ride began at Axtivo Restaurant at Jaya Setia Square in Berakas to Kuala Belait’s Menara Cendera Kenangan in the Belait District. The participants made stops at Seri Kenangan Beach in Tutong District and Tanjong Batu in Muara, before reaching the final destination at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital.

The main aim for the ride was to foster patriotic love and fuel each other’s enthusiasm to celebrate the National Day. It also aimed to create awareness for all road users to be more aware of motorcycles on the road, and to remind everyone to practise road safety.
